Private Finance software
I am looking for a software to manage our families personal finances. I was searching the net, in the Personal Financing Category on macupdate.com I found some, but not really what I want. iFinance has enough ads on machtechnews.de and I really like the way it looks, but still it lacks a lot of features. There are also the others such as iBank, iCash, etc. and of course I was also searching through the web-based solutions (i.e. phpFinance), which I would prefer anyway - still not meeting my needs. And it should be open source/free software of course :-)
To know why the found software doesn't fit my needs, here the feature list I want:
The basic features some solutions do provide
- multiple accounts, such as CC, bank accounts, cash (may be even multiple levels)
- tree structured categories, for grouping transactions (i.e. household, business, taxe-relevant)
- storing receipt numbers with each transaction
Extended, but really important features that I missed
- multi-user system, so you can see who was booking things
- export certain only categories, i.e. to prepare everything for sending it to my tax accountant
- automatic synchronisation with the real bank accounts, i.e. for standings orders (don't even know if that is possible to implement)
- historization of bookings
- auto informing of events, i.e. when the amount on an account gets close to 0 Euros
- request transfers by others (i.e. the tax accountant) so I only have to confirm and enter the TAN
- let my tax accountant download all data relevant for his work
QuickSilver Plugin for dict.leo.org
I simply want a plugin for QuickSilver which translates me the word I typed in and shows the translation (and may be even copies it in the clipboard) using http://dict.leo.org .
So I need as little keystrokes as possible:
Ctrl ... <the word to translates> ... Enter
And the translation is shown, but I can't find that :-( So I have to write it?
iPhoto albums management
We have two Macs in our household and we want one big iPhoto album with all the pictures and individual albums on each ones Mac. A perfect two way synch would be even too cool, but ...
I would like to store all the photos in a seperate (big) album, which at best would be on my external hard disk, so I can also take it with me if I want to. And on each of our two Macs we only want to have the pictures of certain albums, i.e. only the "best of's" (we have a "best of" album for each of us), so we don't fill up our Macs with pics only.
I was thinking about writing some AppleScript which opens the album from the external disk if it is connected and exports albums onto the local disk one wants to have on his Mac. And then opens iPhoto with the local album.
